Gossamer Whimsy came about as a result of a notable lack of commercial AM and FM radio stations which program to one of the major demographics...SENIORS. In several major markets, you can scan 40 (or even more) radio stations, without finding a single one aimed at a 55+ listenership.
As you will quickly see, this doesn't mean a steady diet of Big Bands. That may have been fine for our parents and grandparents, but most of us grew up at a time that Top-40/Rock was coming onto the scene. The objective of this site is to provide you with a fun atmosphere. We may be old, but we're not stodgy. After all...does the name "Gossamer Whimsy" say stodgy to you?
